The Chai Lai Orchid

They do great work and are raising money to permanently lease out the elephant farm next to them to ensure the elephants don't carry people in baskets on their back, that the mahoots get a fair deal and the older elephants can retire. They also employ Burmese refugees and teach them English and support projects that are empowering local women to make an income and local girls an education. Fantastic place. 

That evening I had probably the most crazy conversation of my life.
