Red-tailed Hawk At Bethany Lake
It was another successful day at Bethany Lake. The more time I spend there, the more I like it. There seems to be a really interesting cross section of wildlife, it's close to home and I can get in a pretty good "daily walk" -- kill two birds with one stone! (although I'm not into killing birds, believe me!)
As I was almost ready to leave, this beautiful red-tailed hawk flew into the trees at the far end of the trail, which meant I had to backtrack all the way to the opposite end of the lake and check it out. I was able to walk quite close to the tree it was perched on and when it flew, I got some fun shots.
