Approaching Keflavik

Up at 5, and drove in thick fog to Ely. Arrived an hour before I needed to, just to be sure that I had everything I needed. Parents started arriving at 7.30 and took in passports and cash. Coach here at 7.45 and boarded. Cases packed. 48 students and 5 other staff colleagues heading for Iceland for the week. Down to Heathrow and fog meaning a 3 hour+ journey which meant a rush through the airport with various delays. At least our flight took off, and 3 hour flight. Approached Keflavik on the peninsula outside Reykjavik and landed before sunset, then a coach out to the Blue Lagoon where we floated our cares away for an hour...
