We will Remember

We rang the bells half muffled today, a fitting sound for Remembrance day. Matthew tolled the bell to signal the start and end of the 2 minutes silence.

We had a visiting Vicar today who gave a very thought provoking and interesting sermon.  The service has changed this year as there are no members of the RBL left in the village to parade the standard, read the roll on honour or play the bugle.  The Cubs and Scouts did a great job with the readings and roll of honour.

We paraded down to the War Memorial afterwards to lay wreaths.

Steve and Sarah came to the service and we went to the Swan afterwards for Sunday lunch.

"When you go home, tell them of us and say "for your tomorrow we gave our today""
