Shiny Boots!
Preparing to march off with the association at today's remembrance day parade in Whitehall London.
Very emotional but I wasn't as tearful as I was later talking about it. The whole thing was very exciting and you don't have time to think about the emotion so much as people were talking to us about our Brown Berets, because we are and RAF based association.
The brown represents the sands of Oman, where we were based in Masirah and Salalah.
I did feel some pangs of emotion when the Royal Marine band was playing and when the 25 pounder howitzer signalled the beginning and end of the 2 minute silence.
Marching past the Cenotaph was an experience I'll never forget and the constant applause of the people lining the route made me smile the biggest smile at times.
On You Tube - I am in the last rank of the brown berets on the left.
