Rain can't dampen our spirits.

After our marathon and much appreciated efforts to help our family in September and October, the Knottmans are taking a short break at the famous Peebles Hydro.

Today we had a most enjoyable lunch in Edinburgh with two much loved friends. One of them is 96 and people are very impressed when they discover that he drives "old folk" to their hospital appointments.

The Hydro is a historic hotel built in 1881. It was burnt down in 1905 and rebuilt in 1907. It is at present being refurbished and the Wi-Fi is quite good.
