Dark times ahead..

I have been dreading this day, as some of you know I am a Unison Steward for the place in which I work, I am going to attend a meeting today where a significant number of us are going to lose our jobs.

The current government budget cuts means that we have to slim down. Some of the posts are to be deleted and and some will go via either voluntary or compulsory redundancy. Either way there will be people I know who will have to go.

The bigger picture is a little more complex.

On the whole it'll not be a good day for the department.

This blip was taken at 5 am this morning when I left work to try and get some sleep prior to my meeting which is scheduled for an hour and a half's time. wish me luck !
