Artistic capture of reeds
I went to Banyoles specifically to photograph what promised to be a golden sunset, I didn't need a camera, the picture was in my brain and all it needed was for me to find the correct cable to get it onto the computer. Gave that up after a while having figured out I am maybe a couple of years ahead of the technology (actually Microsoft does have a beta version, but it has a glitch, it fills your brain with images of lobsters and sheep, carrying parasols and makes you sing Abba songs in a never-ending loop) decided to wait for the Apple version which will cost three times as much only download through iTunes and causes every user to be sued by Samsung (do you like my techie in jokes there?)
The weather God decided to mock me by drawing a cloud over the sun, and the God of
All Terrain planked a blooming great hill in my sightline, so I cut my losses and admired the shimmering reflections of the stately reeds.
The authorities are very precious about the lake, they are so busy protecting the flora and fauna, that they prohibit use of what could be a wonderful place for wind surfing, dinghy sailing, or even waterskiing .
Club Natacio de Banyoles has a monopoly on all activity, the rowing club selfishly block off most of the width. Even swimmers are corralled. There used to be little rowing boats for hire, I took out the boys to turn in ever decreasing circles as I sorted out my oarsmanship and I am sure they secretly enjoyed it whilst pretending to scream in terror and begging me to go back to shore. That innocent pastime is now banned probably because some aquatic snail showed signs of trauma.
At least we are still allowed to walk the perimeter, although militant and rude cyclists do their best to terrorise and dog walkers leave their antisocial deposits across many of the paths. I am tempted to inaugurate a new site ' Name and Shame, The Dog is Not To Blame' where we can post pictures of anti social morons who befoul our public spaces. If I had my way I would bring in a law that bans people from keeping dogs if they have three instances of letting their dogs defecate in public spaces.
Well I feel better now, nothing like a good rant to clear the tubes, maybe today I can capture the sunrise and restore my normal sunny disposition
