Rose

I called to see my Aunt who is in hospital with a broken arm.
At the entrance there is a bed of wonderful roses.
I always think of them as an English flower and can't understand why they don't seem to do well in Blackheath, which must have the most English climate in the country, yet they flourish in the hot, dry, winds of the central west.
Our loss, their gain.
