THE TREE WE SAW
on our walk this afternoon.
In the morning I worked in the garden, all went well, just that I could not stop just a bit earlier.
After several grey days, the sun was greeting us again. That made me feel happy and we decided for a walk. But where, that was the question.
After some deliberation, we choose to go to Helmarshausen and from there enter the Reinhardswald, wanting to see the last colours of the leaves, that not had yet reach the ground.
When we passed the huge, beautiful, Jugendherberge, I saw a meadow with sheep at our right side and I asked Piet Hein to stop and let me take some photos. When I had done that and we did drive further again, we changed our plan, turned around and parked at the bottom of the hill.
A wonderful panorama lay before us, a path we could follow lay stretched before us and with enthusiasm we started our walk.
It was really a very pleasant one. First we walked along the meadow where the sheep were eating the grass, and from there we came through fields with newly green grows (no idea what it was).
With the map we planned how to walk back, but somehow we wandered twice in the wrong direction.
Eventually we found the chosen path, but it was a horrible one, most parts were flooded, and we got very tired and longed only to be back and have a rest.
An extra photo of the sheep in the meadow, and a view of the Krukeburg ruine.
Now after eaten our meal, I will have that rest and will wait with browsing, admiring your pictures, and commenting till tomorrow.
My haiku:
In summer a shelter
This old tree for birds, now look
One can see through it
And the proverb:
Let her/him that beginneth the song, make and end.
