Paper planes

Up at 6 to escort Gulliver to Latin, we left a few minutes early with a tin full of paper planes and stopped at the playground on the way to test them out, I loved watching him playing unselfconsciously humming the star wars theme to himself, he will be 13 in a few weeks, I can't believe it!

I went to Emma's afterwards and we walked Belle in Bushy Park and had coffee at the Pheasantry, always great to see her, we never run out of conversation and we always make each other laugh.

I was buying a few things in Sainsburys when the staff announced the 2 minute silence so I stayed in there and we were all silent together.

Then I went to the Home to visit my Mum and ended up spending the whole day there, there was a pianist playing a few old songs there when I arrived so I took my Mum to listen and ended up singing Smile, A Spoonful of Sugar and Over The Rainbow, I even got done of them joining in on the choruses!! I'm going to go back and sing some Christmas songs next month.

We did some of our jigsaw and then I put up her cards on the cork board I've bought her and then sat with her and Norman at lunch, found out some of their favourite Christmas songs which included Let it Snow and White Christmas and helped my Mum eat.

Then Joana who manages the nursing floor asked if I had time to do an assessment for them, I helped find out what Mum feels and what she likes and dislikes and helped Joana understand her, took over an hour but was very useful.
