Bali

Returning to civilisation was odd. The traffic and volume of people was slightly overwhelming. After pizza the night before (best meal in my life after rice for 6 weeks)  we set out to the volcano.  

On the drive I was pretty underwhelmed really. I think the problem with living in Northern Thailand is that rice paddies,  temples etc are nice,  but not that exciting. Everyone always talks about how stunning Bali is and I was left wondering why at first.

Then the volcano and surrounding lake in its valley appeared and it took our breath away.  This little corner of Bali at least,  had a good view.
