Explaining

.... to Grandad all about how an orchestra works and is arranged. She's done a big collage with diagrams and writing about what she learnt and did at Sunday's concert. She took it to school today with the programme from the concert and got a marble for the writing and a marble for showing the class how a conductor signals/times two beats to the bar, and what that means. She also got a marble from the headmaster for holding the door for him and visitors without being asked or even noticed until he'd gone through. 

I bought her a new theory book yesterday as she's doing so much theory work right now. This one has sticker activities for some of it and she's loving it. Her poor teacher is going to have such a large pile of marking from Katie on her return! It's lovely though. 

Grandad and Granny arrived not long after we got home from school. They had tea with us and Katie & I showed them the work in progress that is our duet. It's going to be me that gets nervous, not her!
