Home

It seems like it was ages ago, but it was actually only 8 days.
But what a relief, to be in our home, in the own bed, out of the atmosphere of dark rooms for people who are living the last months of their lives. Away from the feeling of total dependency of those who are supposed to care for you but are either not having enough time, or not enough intelligence to make the life of their "inmates" a little more pleasant. Not a place where I want to return to anytime soon.
Still grateful for the dedicated doctor who even visited the evening of the snowstorm, looking like Dr. Hyde ( or was it Jekyll?) , as he had had an accident with his bicycle, coming in my room with a little stone in his cheek, a band aid on his front and a t shirt  full of blood stains...Thanks to him the dangerous wound infection was diagnosed quickly. Had I been home, things might have turned out differently.

Thank you all for your kind following and visiting. Thanks especially for the well wishes - I think that they are effective right now :-) Not to forget your stars and hearts! They made me happy , of course.
As this hip replacement already showed some complications during surgery,  full recovery will be a lot longer than I had hoped for. So, sorry for another ( and may be some more) less than perfect shot today. Through the dirty window. But this picture shows two important things: The sun is shining full blast, as usual in Reno, and it is freezing hard. So there is still snow ( the ski resorts are opening a week early) and the trees are still having their beautiful red, brown and yellow leaves...Such an unusual sight.

In the meantime I will post a lot of backblips to fill the gaps of my two year , never to be printed , Blipbook.
