Hands Full, Hands Free
I think I must be in a weird headspace at the moment because it was a real struggle to find someone to consent to a portrait. I've never experienced so many refusals. I'm not aware of any difference in approach but I've noticed previously that once a couple of people say no it becomes far harder to get someone to say yes. The 'energy' I give out must change somehow. I guess it's related to confidence. It's quite fascinating really.
I still find it strange when I see someone hands-free on their phone, sitting by themselves and just chatting away into the ether. I'm not sure I'd ever have the confidence to do that. It would just feel too strange.
