After Storm Abigail

We were lucky here and escaped any damage from Storm Abigail. It was wet though with sleet and snow showers throughout the day.
The Point is always a good place to blow the cobwebs away.So after buying some tomato soup from Harry Gows that's where we went.Mike stayed in the car while I braved the rain. Luckily it stopped and the sun came out just at the right time. I watched as waders flew in front of me just above the crashing waves, several gulls were picking up washed up crabs. A hooded crow picked up shells which it dropped from a height trying to crack it open.
To my surprise a pod of dolphins swam past , including a small baby. They did nt seem to be worried by the rough seas. A cargo ship came up the Firth and again I was surprised to see dolphins leaping at it's bow. They leap so high, so much power !
The rest of the day changed between showers and sun, still cold , it did nt rise above 3 degrees. There's snow on the hills and mountains and Ben Wyvis looked like it had a good covering.
Better blip this quickly as blipfoto gas been missing all day.
