It had to be

It had to be the sunrise for my blip today. It was wonderful, the whole sky looked like it was on fire, a mass of oranges, reds and yellows. It was warm too as I watched with my pjs and dressing gown on.
I got excited when I saw a small flock of birds land in a tree further up the hill , were they waxwings, about the right size but I think they were starlings by their silhouettes and I could nt see the punk rock hair do . We did go out in search of them later in the day after another half hour in the bank trying to sort the Brownie Account, still not fixed , more forms to fill in and more signatures to be gathered, grrrrrr !
We took a sandwich and flask down to Rosemarkie and had a picnic in the car. The tide was almost in and the waves were washing up lots of seaweed and sand. Not many birds though and no waxwings :(
Looking forward to pie and mash for dinner. It 's getting cold and windy out there.
