Children In Need
I was struggling for a blip today and my neighbours saved the day!
It was 'Children In Need' day today in the UK and apparently the kids in school were allowed to dress up as part of the fundraiser. My neighbour Dave is a primary school teacher and he was dressed up as a Sheriff. His son Joseph dressed as St. George. Daughter Sophie didn't seem to be dressed up but she had baked these delicious cookies and was selling them amongst the neighbours to raise money for the charity.
You can see Dolly only has eyes for the cookies!
Many of us were a little nervous as the blipfoto site went offline for much of the day. After a scare in the spring, with still many unknowns about the future of blipfoto, we are all a bit nervous of losing this community. Thankfully, it seemed to be only a glitch that finally got fixed and we are back in business! (But I MUST work on continuing to back up my entries!)
Far more tragic is the news of the terrorist attacks in Paris tonight. Life is fragile and it puts all else into perspective. Praying for the people of Paris, all the families affected and the country of France.
