Hanging on

This morning there were still a few leaves on the silver birch tree, but after a wet and windy day I can't imagine there are many left now.
I took my photo early before the family arrived. They had been at Portsmouth investigating university degrees for Jake. He wants to read Geography which I would have loved to have done all those years ago, had I had the opportunity. I look forward to hearing all about it when he gets there.
We've had a good day with them. Normous made one if his massive steak and kidney puddings which fills up teenage boys nicely.
