A lot of the building in land in Tenerife is stepped into the volcanic rock......as can be seen in this blip.

In the centre you can see two small peaks, the left hand one being Mount Teide.........its shape does look exactly like how we think a volcano should look, don't you think?! Thankfully it's not erupted for over a hundred years, but it is considered live and is now a World Unesco site.

Hot again today, but less humid, the calimah has lifted slightly and we have a breeze, so who knows, we might even see La Gomera tomorrow.
