As daylight fades..........

When we woke up this morning there was no way in the world that I would have banked on such a wonderful end to the day!

The rain was battering on the bedroom windows and the wind was gusting....the sort of morning that makes you want to stay exactly where you are; under the duvet! Nonetheless, I had reason to be up and at it for 9am as I had promised to log on to try and buy tickets to see Fleetwood Mac in Manchester, as they went on sale this morning.

I had three different ticket websites open as well as holding in a queue on the phone, all to no avail, sold out by 9.15, other than priority VIP type tickets, if you've got a spare £800 for 4!!!!! Makes me spit that you can never get the tickets you want for the top bands....yet they are for sale on eBay at rip off prices and via touts on the day outside the venue of the concerts!!!!! Sorry, rant over.

This afternoon after all the rain, the skies turned to a lovely soft blue and it looked promising for a half decent sunset, so off I trotted to the Flash to wile away an hour or so, just me and my camera :-)

I took spare shoes, good job to, it was so squelchy underfoot, and I found out that the walking shoes I had on, let water in, resulting in one very soggy sock, so they are for the bin!!

I wandered and fired off a fair few shots, but typically the best light came late in the day, the last half dozen shots being the better ones, and this one being the best of the better ones if you follow me :-$

I was particularly happy with this shot because it's exactly as taken, no cropping or editing.
