All 9lb 8oz of her!
My goodness. A trip to the baby clinic for a weigh in and Rhona is a whole 1lb heavier than 9 days ago! I knew she was putting on weight as she has also stretched a fair bit. Obviously breast feeding agrees with her!
Daddy stayed in bed a little bit the worse for wear after a fun night out with his friend who is back from Dubai for a couple of weeks. Its not often Martin goes out now, so he really doesn't feel great today.
This long lie meant I had to take the 2 wee ones out by myself - good practice for when Martin goes back offshore. I managed fine but it is definately takes that little bit longer. First, the baby clinic, where the Health Visitor seemed happy with how Rhona is doing. I was worried that she was sleeping for 5 hour blocks in the night but they said that is fine as she is cluster feeding while awake during the day. It obviously isn't doing her any harm! Next, we went to Asda to return a first size gift and to get some shopping for lunch and tea. Euan needed the toilet and managed to hold on all the way to the toilets but was so desperate by the time we got there, started weeing before he was properly on the toilet. Fortunately, I now carry a spare pair of pants in my handbag! I can't imagine how I would have managed if Rhona had been in the trolley instead of the sling as I would have had to carry her and try to put Euan on the loo! I love my ring sling. After that Euan let me put him in the trolley and by the time we had finished the shopping he was sleeping. He stayed asleep while I put him back in the car and I left him in the car to sleep for a bit before waking him.
I made lasagne for tea and it was lovely, and the home made garlic bread that Martin contributed was tasty too. A cup of tea and some chocolate covered popcorn while reading 50 shades of grey, the latest book craze it seems. It is a page turner, but not for the faint hearted I would say!! Full of sex - that is how my mother-in-law described it to me - she is on book 3 already!
