Simeon

It's funny how sometimes school surprises me in a good way. For history we were supposed to research about a funny man called Simeon Stylites who lived on a pillar for 37 years to try to please God (400s A.D. in Syria). I doubted the children would be that interested, but how wrong I was- it totally tickled their imaginations- they really got into it and took ages producing drawings of him!
