High tide and all that's left is the post

We went for a drive this afternoon over to Udale bay and through to Cromarty.
The tide was so high all the land where the birds usually sit was completely covered. The water was even into the fields next to the fence. This heron had found a nice perch on one of the fence posts. Several ducks around and hundreds of geese flew in making a lot of noise.
Rather grey all day, a few showers but not too bad for the time of year.
