Out of the mist

A very foggy morning which was very exciting as I really fancied some misty shots. The sun did peep through bringing interesting light so we headed down to the canal for a walk. We wandered past the lochs and down to The Caley marina taking lots of potential blips on the way. Great reflections as the water was so calm. A Holly bush seemed to be full of fieldfares and redwings which flew off as we came nearer. A moorhen was cleaning itself under the decking. One lone male Mallard duck landed in front of us among the boats.
As we walked along the tow path a kayak emerged from the depths of the mist on the still water. A whole 'sord' of mallards swam in front of his boat as he paddled along. Two people on a tandem road past on the opposite side. A family with a border collie had stopped for a chat and their voices were carried in the stillness.
Such a good place to walk.
