With the purchase of a fireguard the pup has worked out her rightful place on a wintery Sunday afternoon.

There was much mooching and shopping done today. And cooking of a very splendid veggie chilli which ticked the wheat-free, vegetarian, low-FODMAP criteria and which was so good I shall voluntarily be choosing to make it again.

And then my brother and sister-in-law and eldest niece and boyfriend headed back to their various homes and Anna and I passed a happy hour or two with our new Sherlock board game and we slid gently into the evening.

J showed some sheer determination and made a second walk today despite feeling pretty rough.
