Flax flowers and raindrops

I thought the flax flower buds about to open looked a bit like the chicks I had seen in a thrushes nest, except the mouths aren't open.
Another 12mm overnight to add to the rain total. Keeping our gardens ticking over nicely.

I tied up clematis, did some weeding, had a haircut and visited at Jack Inglis Friendship Hospital Rest Home where I know so many people I was there two hours instead of one.
