Take a kid fishing

Run by the local Returned Servicemens Assn fishing club there were plenty of kids of all ages, plenty of adults of all ages but very few fish. Cries of "I've got a spottie, or a herring" were few and far between. The family collecting the seaweed that got hooked as it came in on the tide did the best.
However, a sausage sizzle and a prize draw ensured everyone went home happy and who knows, a passion for fishing may have been ignited.
