Bonus Days!!

Yesterday I saw the suitcase come out of the cupboard, so I knew it was time for Mum to go back to work!  So what a surprise this morning when I saw Mum put it BACK in the cupboard!!  "Guess what?"  She said. "I asked for unpaid leave and they gave it to me!!"  

Mum was pretty stressed last week over the still-unfinished kitchen project and having to find new people to finish the work, so I am glad she was able to get some extra time off work!  And now we have BONUS days together!  

She left me all morning to go to church and then to a church lunch afterwards but when she came home she said she wanted to be with family and we were going off to London to see my cousin Jon and his wife, Laura. Yea!  We stopped for a walk on the way and then I snuggled up in my blanket and slept all the way there.

When we got there they had laid out a delicious spread for us!  Laura had been making her famous Christmas chutney and they had Christmas music on!  A little early for that!  But we understand the need to 'get in the mood' for Christmas when making Christmas chutney!  I think Mum should have blipped all those jars!  

It was a very pleasant evening. The best part?  They live in a 2nd floor flat in Barnes with French doors and I loved sitting there and watching the cars go by - BELOW us!  Weird!  But it was soon time to go. I'm usually ready before Mum is. The picture of me on the chair?  That's my "I'm ready to go home now, Mum!" look!  

I dozed all the way home. Mum thinks I didn't notice that she missed our exit on the Motorway, but I did!  See what I mean?  She needs a bit of a rest!
