Island Living

Nice relaxed day.   Went for a walk…. I was determined to catch some wildlife to blip today.    but it was so quiet.  The mergansers , grebes, goldeneyes and even an oystercatcher were too far away.  (My bigger lens must have gotten lost returning from Canon as it’s not back after many weeks!….maybe they’ll replace it with a good one… HA)

This is is only human we saw today —a fellow who lives full time on the island, no job right now (his wife works) doing what needs to be done, near the public dock and barge landing..  They just brought the yellow car over on a barge a few days ago (they live way up on the other side of the island) and he’s trying to decide if this nice dry calm weather today will hold so he can bottom paint this boat for another neighbor . After lots of mushrooms and forest pix,  I kept coming back to this photo..- must be the yellow red and blue.   The extra is our little pond totally full after this storm. (this little fence is there so one doesn't walk into it.. this summer the pond got down to just a little mud.)
