Dinner with the ex

So weirdly I ended up having dinner with my ex boyfriend Ben tonight in the Northern Quarter (all above board and sanctioned by Angus - thankfully!)

We went back to Cottonpolis where I was last week for the launch. Gorgeous food. See picture of the desserts they sent out for free as I know the PR girl there.

Had a great night reminiscing and laughing at how our lives had changed and generally catching up on the past 8 years. He was a big part of my life once and is still a lovely man. I actually came away feeling really good - he wasn't The One, but I certainly don't regret the time we spent together.

Even he was reflective - at one point saying that perhaps our relationship had to happen to get us to the people we are both happy with now which I thought was a lovely way to look back on it.
