There's a hole in our house

3 years ago, eldest son got hot and opened the study window.

Except that it didn't open. Instead, the window sill fell out.

I don't think eldest son did anything wrong - it just brought our rotten windows to our attention.

From this angle, I can see things I'd like to throw away. Perhaps they might accidentally fall out the window (and I am not referring to the cat - he doesn't 'fall'. He leaps purposefully).
