Awards

The Annual Herald Scottish Politician of The Year awards tonight at Prestonfield House which I attended as a guest of Diageo which of course has three distilleries in my constituency.

I was one of three politicians nominated in the "Community MSP of the Year" category . The campaign cited for me by the paper was Castle Toward and it was good to have a wider audience hear about the great work done by the community in South Cowal. The final award , however, went to Neil Findlay MSP .

Nicola Sturgeon won the overall title for the fourth time , a great present for her on the first anniversary of her election as First Minister.
