'Eyelash' Grass
The interesting texture of this grass disappears in a wider shot, but I liked the shadows on the wall…they DO look a bit like those slides of bacteria we used to have to look at through a microscope in physiology class in high school.
Funny…maybe that's because I never did have much luck with microscopes….all I ever could see through them was my own eyelashes!
We made a mad dash to Berkeley to the dentist today. They are aware that we come from a distance and are so accommodating that we hate to leave. Besides, it's a good excuse for a trip back there. Well, maybe not a good excuse, but if you have to go to the dentist, it might as well be a familiar place, in this case, right upstairs from our old stomping grounds, Peet's coffee. It has been redone since we were there last and looks more corporate and less interesting.
We had to rush home with no lunch due to numb mouths, but not before I had a flying visit to a couple of shops underneath the dentist' office...my friend Kim's clothing boutique, Red Bird,. and, a half a case of Chilean Arbequiña from Amphora, the olive oil store.
It is a sign that Santa Rosa is indeed home now when we only saw one person I knew and couldn't remember her name anymore!
