... in NYC, on a rainy, windy, altogether nasty early evening.  I'd visited the J.P. Morgan Library, for excellent exhibitions on Matisse and books he illustrated, and on "Ernest Hemingway: Between Two Wars."  Dinner with our friends Jane and Marty.
