Monastery

This afternoon we took a 'brother' on a hike up a hill overlooking the city. It was a very special time- he's going to be leaving the city soon sadly. We climbed up to the ruins of an old monastery. On the way down we warmed ourselves by a fire with a friendly shepherd (the children loved replenishing the fire for him with whatever they could find) and met a police puppy at a guard post.
