The Judgement

The French car company DS staged a driving event today at a hotel near Newbury called The Vineyard. We were there to test the new DS4 hatch and Crossback.

The hotel is famed for its vast wine cellar, and this fabulous mural is on a wall in one of the public rooms. It recalls a famous event in 1976, when French critics were asked to blind taste French and Californian wines. The Californian ones won, and the French were very cross about it!
