Herb's young man

We met up at the National Portrait Gallery after work this evening and Herb showed me the painting she's been visiting for 20 years. His name was Henry Brougham and he was famous for defending Queen Caroline at her trial in 1820. He was also an anti-slavery campaigner: a Good Man. When Herb first started visiting him he was older than her - now she's older than him. I love discovering my friends' little stories...
