Tea lady

We met in the afternoons. She would carefully prepare a small pot of tea and, before we drank it, she would tell me about the variety of tea that we would be drinking - its origins, history and the flavours that I should look out for. Only when she was satisfied that I was fully prepared, would she pour the tea into the tiny, saucer-like cups and allow me to first smell and then taste it.
