'Melbourne Lights'
A nice relaxed start of the day, breakfast followed by taking Dylan to Judo and then home to pick up our guest and on to our local organic shop in Hurstbridge for some lunch. A beautiful potato and leek soup with sourdough toast. Very scrumptious.
After lunch we drove up to Mount Dandenong to visit William Ricketts Sanctuary and spent an hour or so wandering the gardens, photographing the sculptures before it was time to leave for the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. We were now on a mission to get there before they closed at 5pm for ice creams. We made it with a good 5 minutes to spare but they certainly weren't in a huge rush to vacate the place and shut shop so we sat down and ate before going on a quick walk of the grounds.
Home for gnocchi which MsMun whipped up in no time and once again was sensational. I'd promised SH to take hime into the Eureka Tower so it was a mad rush to get out the door once again after dinner as last entry is 9:30pm for a 10pm closing time. We got into town, parked the car and walked to the entry only to be 1 minute late and refused entry. Couldn't believe it after coming all that way. Anyway we ended up walking down beside the Yarra River in Southbank and South Wharf for the evening which was nice.
We'll be back to Eureka Tower in the morning, and this time the kids can join us which they will be happy about.
