'Looking East'
From the 88th floor 'Eureka Skydeck'. Finally managed to get SH up to the top of the tower this morning, and a really lovely day for it too. The sky was clear and only a little hazy out on the horizon some 40 or 50km away.
After a quick visit there we jumped back in the car and headed out to Williamstown for some lunch. 'Fish n Chips' down by the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club where the Sea Shepherd was docked today.
There was a huge crowd down at the foreshore for the Macedonian Festival in the park. The music was deafening, so I'm glad we decided to sit inside the restaurant to eat.
After lunch we walked back down to the Williamstown Lighthouse atPoint Gellibrand down along the foreshore. We spotted a boat that appeared to have run aground on a reef and the coastguard boats were trying to pull it free without much luck. Hope the work experience first mate wasn't left in charge while the Captain took a nap.
Walking back to the car I started to feel a little off colour and while driving out of Williamstown had to make an emergency exit off the road to bring up my lunch. Felt much better after that and we managed to get back home without any more drama. I've taken it easy this arvo and had a lay down, still have a headache and think I might have had a bit of sun stroke today. My neck is pretty sunburnt, so an early night tonight and hopefully I'll be feeling better in the morning.
Our blip friend's last day with us today too and he's just left to drop his hire car back at the airport ready for his flight West to Perth in the morning. It's been really great having hime stay with us for the week and I think the kids have really enjoyed having him around too. Safe travels our friend, we will miss you.
