Blencathra with snow!

We awoke to find a thin covering of snow over the garden.  Clickychick had suggested yesterday that we get up early enough to make a detour by the lake on our way to clean the Lodge.  As we set off the roads were not a lot of fun being covered in a thin layer of ice.  Don't worry I said they are bound to have treated the A66 and the road down from Troutbeck.  I was partly right - they had treated the A66.

As a result of the roads we stopped to make sure we got something in the camera for if we had to turn back.  We didn't have to turn back but we were a little later than we had hoped.  CC still managed some lovely shots.   However I wasn't so keen on mine.

As a result you have got a panorama made from 3 hand held shots of Blencathra taken as I said to ensure we had something in the camera.
