Castille El Morro, Old San Juan

Spent a lovely day today in Old San Juan, the historic town built on a small islet off the northern coast of Puerto Rico discovered by Christopher Columbus.

We jumped on and off the trolley bus which travels the old cobbled streets to spend time at two fortresses which defended Puerto Rico from invaders and pirates on the rough seas of this rich trade route between the Americas and Spain.
