The old Lindis Hotel

The Lindis Pass Hotel began as a store set up during the first gold rush of 1861. By 1873 a permanent building was on site and provided almost continuous service of various kinds for over 70 years including lodgings, general store, post office and school. It was added to over the years finally becoming a home before being abandoned in 1951.
