Handbags at Dusk
I went out armed with the right lens for landscapes this evening after yesterday's lens fail (after working out which of the remaining two to use and how to change them).
If you follow my journal you will know exactly what's coming next...no flipping sunset!
So I went for a walk at the harbour to see the Kittiwinks (Kittiwakes). There were two little girls standing on the edge of the harbour shouting, clapping and whistling which in Dunbar can only mean one thing - Seals! I thought the blip god had finally blessed me but they stayed out in the middle and I couldn't get a decent shot.
Caught these Kittwakes fighting over their Kittiwinks on the Kittiwake wall where they all live and thought the wings were beautiful.
BIG WINGS
I'm still working on this 'big person' camera thing so the focus isn't brilliant but I had a choice between Kittiwakes and clouds.
OBSERVATION - People treat you differently when you have a big camera. They stop walking in case they get in the way of your shot and say 'excuse me' like they were getting in the way. Even the little girls at the harbour alerted me every time a seal head bobbed up. Social status = achieved
