Chilly Calm & Colourful
It's been a lovely night away at our friends who live at Cotswold Water Park, in the village of South Cerney, a lovely village dating from Saxon times (999AD). The local village pub (Eliot Arms) is a favourite of ours and we always end up having a meal and a drink there. The well know designer/make over expert Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen was sat two tables away with his family, and is a frequent visitor as he lives opposite in The Manor House. Nobody seemed to be bothering him, and our friends said he's very friendly and is involved in village affairs.
After breakfast we went for a walk for two or three miles and had a cuppa in the Waterpark bar (Main Blip Photo) before getting back late afternoon where I was treated to a cooked Sunday lunch (rare for me). Mrs BB was happy with a salad!
The wildlife are constant visitors to our friends, especially a swan couple and their signet. I got a few photo's of them being fed, plus a friendly Robin and wagtail, plus this duck on the fence. Given half a chance she'll come into the house if the door is open. She waits around to be fed.
In this weather the seagulls are further inland and are a nuisance when the ducks and other birds are being fed, swooping down to steal food. Animals know where they will get a good feed.
I'm told that brown bread and oats are the foods to feed the swans, ducks and birds.
