Life-Changing Learning

A beautiful day in Edinburgh today. Hundreds of miles away a huge work-related decision was being made. It will result in enormous changes to the structure of the university. I am not, at the moment, directly affected but feel so much for colleagues who are. There is a great deal of sadness.

After work, in what we called the twilight zone when I worked in FE, we ran a great seminar on social support and mental health. It was a partnership with the Edinburgh Cyrenians and a colleague from Milton Keynes came up to speak too. It was just the sort of thing we can do so well. I just hope we can continue to change lives through learning despite all the upheaval
