Central Park
We spent most of our day in and around Central Park which was gorgeous in the sunshine - but do not be fooled, the temperature has plummeted, bitterly cold - we are hatted and gloved (and if I'm being entirely honest) thermaled.
We started at MoMA and then headed to the park; before detouring up Museum Mile to the Guggenheim. It is as quirky and beautiful as I remember, even the drinking fountains are considered and designed specifically for the space. unfortunately photography is not permitted on the upper floors, the invigilators certainly had their work cut out stopping people, it's an extremely tempting view.
After walking around the reservoir we crossed to Columbus Avenue on the West side and made our way back to mid town for a well earned glass of something rejuvenating.
We are struggling a bit still with the time difference, waking in the early hours and reaching for the matchsticks by 8pm - we did manage to stay up 'till 9 tonight, but in the city that never sleeps we feels as though we are missing out ......
