Torso

Sophie Ryder's two large Torso sculptures have been outside Cartwright Hall in Bradford's Lister Park for a few years now. I've blipped them before, as has just about every other West Yorkshire blipper, but they're always worth another look.

Today I'm focused on the Sgwarnog, or as the English speaking world knows it, the Hare. I love the way the eye helps you to look through the piece, and the structure of the ear is impressive.

All of which provided a suitable backdrop for 8yo, 11 yo and I to enjoy a November picnic and enough bouts of hide and seek and tag to exhaust us. Well, to exhaust me anyway.
