Live it loud!

In one's shadow

Been down to Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury with a couple of folks from the club. Early start and a longish drive. The weather was fine on the way down, but when we got there it was pretty unkind. A few sunny spells but much rain varying from drizzle to a couple of downpours. Consequently we spent much time searching under the tree canopy for inspiration.

We found a group of mushrooms (no idea what type - yet) and we spent 45-50 minutes just in this group. It took a little while to get properly set up with the new beast, but I'm happy with this.

I did a bit of gardening, but I don't like creating a totally artificial environment. I'm sure some would suggest some more.

After 30 minutes hiding under a massive redwood during the rain we wandered back to get something to eat. We realised we'd actually only gone about 800 yards in 5 hours.

Lunch was had while we watched some dirty black clouds rushing in our direction. Fortunately, we were only 15 yards from the car when the heavans opened. By the time we'd gathered everything, it was raining in epic proportions. It didn't look too much like changing so we called it a day and started back.

One stop on the way to get some poppies in a field. A really nice day with some wonderful people so thank you to Anthea, Dave and Colin.
